The best way to enjoy summer in Chicago is with a frosty beer, and that’s exactly what the IDSA Chicago Chapter did on Friday, June 23rd. Local designers came together and started their weekend with a Pub Crawl along Chicago Ave. The crawl stopped at five local establishments with an hour time limit at each. The different bars provided a wide range of atmospheres and allowed for an array of experiences that included, conversation, beer gardens, live music, and appetizers provided by IDSA.
Although the event started with a small intimate group of 15 designers at 6:30pm, it added to its numbers at each bar and ended strong with over 50 people in attendance. The Pub Crawl was a huge success and there is much talk that this will become an annual event for the Chicago Chapter.
For future reference and historical recreation of the event:
6:30PM: Black Beetle at 2532 W. Chicago Ave.
7:30PM: Tuman's Tavern (a.k.a. Alcohol Abuse Center) at 2159 W. Chicago Ave.
8:30PM: Darkroom at 2210 W. Chicago Ave.
9:30PM: Cleo's at 1935 W. Chicago Ave.
11:00PM: Sonotheque at 1444 W. Chicago Ave.
