Chapter Chair:
- Acts as chief spokesperson for the chapter
- Presides over chapter meetings and events
- Serves as chapter representative of the IDSA National Connexx Council & IDSA Regional District

Council
- Assists the IDSA Regional District VP in planning and organizing the annual Regional District
Conference
Conference
- Receives registration discounts for National and Regional District Conferences
- Attends the leadership transition meeting in Jan or Feb 2010
Vice Chair:
- Assist the Chapter Chair in all chapter functions
- Assume the responsibilities of Chair in his/her absence
- Plan and run chapter/regional events
Secretary:
- Schedule chapter/officer meetings
- Coordinate chapter/officer communications
- Coordinate chapter/officer communications
- Plan and run chapter/regional events
Treasurer:
- Maintain chapter's financial records
- Ensure the integrity of the fiscal affairs of the chapter
- Plan and run chapter/regional events
Communications Chair/Webmaster:
- Maintain chapter's website, blog & online calendar
- Create graphics and printed materials
- Plan and run chapter/regional events
Student Liason:
- Maintain relationships between educators, student chapters, and IDSA Chicago
- Facilitate student workshops and events
- Plan and run chapter/regional events
Social Coordinator Volunteers:
- Assist officers in planning and running chapter/regional events
In order to run for chapter office, you must be a Professional, Fellow, Life or International IDSA member living in the Chicagoland area. Officers serve a two-year term, starting January 1, 2010 and ending December 31, 2011.
