Drugs for sale- Should marijuana be made legal?
This fight took place in Chicago in October
, and was recorded by the Pixel Brothers for future use.

Pro Fighter: Bryan Brickner, Chair of Illinois NORML (www.illinoisnorml.org)
Legalizing marijuana would mean that users wouldn't have to buy their 'soft drugs' from the dealers who also sell harder, more addictive drugs. The current ban also prevents doctors from using it for it's vital medicinal purposes.

Contra Fighter: Tim O'Donohue, Substance Abuse Prevention, Albany Park Human Services Coalition (www.albanyparkcommunitycenter.org). Legalizing marijuana would be a major boost to the drug trade as a whole and would fund the import and proliferation of harder drugs. Casual marijuana use also has many irreversible side-effects including many mental defects.

Ring Leader: Lou Canellis, ABC , (ABC Bio), and CLTV (CLTV Bio)
Lou has stepped into the ring for this Fight, temporarily taking the place of Paul Hatch. If the TV series kicks off he will likely remain the Ring Leader for the TV sessions, while Paul Hatch will continue to host the non-televised Chicago fights, as well as some in other cities.

It was a very interesting fight, with strong arguments both for and against making the use of marijuana legal. Tim, who took the Contra stance had a hard battle as a lot of the Crowd tended to support the legalization of drugs. However, towards the end he managed to win over a lot of support with his strong arguments, but not quite enough to get the final vote which went to Bryan. It will be interesting to see the highlights of this fight on television in November. To see some photos of the fight (a little foggy due to the dry ice!): click here
