REALize
- Design Means Business
(2006)

Design is fast being recognised as a significant differentiator within the market place. Consumers' expectations and aspirations are ever increasing. Designers, entrepreneurs and new product developers have much to gain by closer and more intimate collaboration. If Daniel Pink is correct, the MFA is the new MBA.

Designers do it differently. Business is acknowledging the value and benefits of designerly thinking and approaches to problem solving, and possibly more importantly, identifying product opportunities.

Many of the contributing authors are keynote speakers at the 2006 IDSA District Conferences across the US. The book will also feature a selection of design-centric companies and design vendors, companies that are embracing change in the new design/business climate.

Edited by Deana McDonagh and Paul Hatch, graphics by Jennifer Gunji.

If you would like to have your company featured in the book, please refer to this PDF for more information.

You can pre-order this publication at the IDSA Midwest Conference or at idsa@idsa.org. It will also be available at the IDSA National Conference in the Fall.
