Pactiv, a $3 Billion consumer and packaging products company and the makers of Hefty branded products, is looking to hire Industrial Designers to join their new Product Development organization in the Lake County, IL area.   These designers will work on integrated product development teams which include product/consumer researchers, product development engineers and other industrial designers.  The scope of work is fully comprehensive and will include upfront consumer research, ideation, prototyping of concepts and subsequent consumer testing, hand sketching of concepts leading to 3D rendering of designs for rapid prototyping and product tooling/equipment.  Further, the industrial designers on these teams will play a key role in color and trend forecasting and contribute to key customer sales/mktg presentations.

Opportunities for internships are also available.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

- BA/BS or MA/MS in Industrial Design
- 0 to 5+ years experience in product design
- Excellent design skills: hand sketching through 3D rendering
- Skilled in computer design tools (Alias, Photoshop, etc.)
- Good prototyping skills
- Hands-on creative: thinks with their hands
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Able to thrive in a multi-functional team environment
